Gaura lindheimeri Blushing Butterflies™

Butterfly Gaura

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.224.110

(='Benso') This is an Australian selection of Butterfly Gaura. Plants bloom for many weeks, with loose sprays of delicate soft-pink flowers, like a cloud of small butterflies. Plants form a bushy, compact mound of green leaves. Although Gaura may not always winter reliably, plants flower for the entire summer and fall, so consider using it even as an annual in colder winter regions. Excellent in containers, and for cutting. Plants must have excellent drainage to survive the winter. Heat and drought tolerant. Note that botanists have recently reclassified and named this species Oenothera lindheimeri. Here at Heritage Perennials, we'll continue to list it under it’s more commonly familiar Latin name for now. USPP#14661: unlicensed propagation prohibited. Registered with COPF.
