Switch Grass is one of the easiest and most attractive ornamental grasses, with no tendency to spread or become troublesome. This tall selection forms an upright clump of blue-green leaves that develop wine-red tips in early summer. Airy heads of tiny green flowers appear in late summer. Attractive well into the winter. Flowers are good for cutting, fresh or dried. Trim back to the ground in early spring. Drought tolerant once established. Bred and introduced by Gary Trucks of Amber Wave Gardens in Michigan. USPP#19367: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
