Ligularia dentata ‘Osiris Fantaisie’

Dwarf Ligularia

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.317.770

A unique Canadian selection of Ligularia or Elephant Ears, this is a bold-leaved specimen perennial that needs a moist location. It forms a midsized mound of big rounded dark-green leaves with serrated edges. Taller purple stems appear in midsummer, bearing golden-yellow daisy flowers. Superb for the middle of the border, in containers or at the waterside. Both the flowers and leaves are great for cutting. This selection has fairly thick leaves but slugs may still be troublesome and require control. In warm summer regions plan to grow this in shade. Quite likely hardy to Zone 3 or colder. Developed by Serge Fafard of Les Jardins Osiris in Quebec. USPP#19302: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
