Caryopteris × clandonensis ‘Gold Crest’

Bluebeard

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.117.140

Although actually a woody shrub, Bluebeard is usually cut back each spring to 6 inches and treated more like a perennial. Plants form a bushy, upright mound and fragrant flowers on new wood in late summer and fall. Extremely attractive to butterflies! This selection is outstanding with gold leaves and dark blue flowers. The foliage will not fade in intense sunlight. Choose a well-drained location in full sun. In mild winter areas, these are also excellent in tubs or mixed containers. Heat tolerant. Fairly drought tolerant, once established. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
