Astilbe × arendsii White Gloria

Garden Astilbe

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.087.860

(='Weisse Gloria') Garden Astilbe are a popular choice for shady gardens, where they perform well if given rich, moist soil and regular watering. This selection provides excellent contrast with showy, snow-white, pyramidal-shaped plumes in early summer over glossy, dark green foliage. Super cut flower and great addition to mixed containers. Fertilize in April and June. Leaving seed heads on will provide winter interest to the garden but remove faded flower spikes and tired-looking leaves throughout the season to keep them tidy. Choose different Astilbe varieties offering different bloom times and different colour choices to extend the flowering season. Divide plants every 2 to 3 years in spring. Will tolerate full sun when planted in cooler summer regions.
