Ajuga reptans ‘Toffee Chip’

Carpet Bugle

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.030.620

A colourful selection of Carpet Bugle, this features leaves of grey-green with a bright streaky margin of creamy yellow. Short spikes of blue flowers appear in mid to late spring. A useful groundcover or edging plant for a reasonably moist site, and smashing in mixed containers. Also effective in shady parts of the rock garden. Plants will handle more sun in cool summer regions. Combines beautifully with all kinds of spring-flowering bulbs. Clip or mow off flower stems after blooming. Remove any all-green shoots as they appear, or they will eventually take over the clump. A 2007 introduction from Terra Nova Nurseries of Oregon, found as a sport of Ajuga ‘Chocolate Chip'. USPP#18805: unlicensed propagation prohibited. Registered with COPF.
