A long-blooming selection for the middle to back of the border, featuring long wands of dark purple bracts that hold soft smoky-lavender blooms. Foliage is dark green and licorice-scented. Attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. Flowers are excellent for cutting. Pinch in June to keep plants compact if desired. Easily divided in the spring. Quite possibly hardy to Zone 5 or colder.
