Acorus gramineus ‘Variegatus’

Variegated Sweet Flag

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 8.010.100

Sweet Flag is not a true grass, but plants have a distinctive, grassy appearance. This selection forms a low mound of narrow sword-shaped leaves, striped lengthwise with green and creamy-white. A beautiful accent plant for a moist rock garden or beside a pool or stream. Flowers are green and insignificant. Foliage remains evergreen in mild regions but in colder climates some leaf tips may need to be trimmed with scissors in the spring to tidy them up. If clumps begin to thin out in the center, plan on dividing them during the spring.
