Aquilegia × hybrida Earlybird™ Mixture

Columbine

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.051.010

This mixture, from the Earlybird™ series, was bred for vibrant colours, neatly mounded habit and unusual colour combinations. Single colours and may include doubles like purple white, purple yellow and red yellow usually with a yellow eye. They feature a controlled habit, with relatively short stems on well-mounded plants. Flowers are attractive to hummingbirds. Removing spent flowers will increase the blooming time. Since Columbines are relatively short lived, allow some of the plants to go to seed and self sow, however, resulting seedlings may not resemble the mother plant. Leaf miners or sawfly may disfigure the leaves around flowering time. Simply trim off the ugly foliage and the plants will grow fresh leaves.
