Lewisia cotyledon ‘Elise Ruby Red’

Lewisia

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.317.300

Lewisia are native to western North America, and one of the most treasured rock garden plants. They form a low, fleshy rosette of tough evergreen leaves, bearing large star-shaped flowers in late spring and early summer. This single-colour selection features flower clusters in dark pink. Best in a cool rock garden setting, with excellent drainage. Flowers first year. In hot summer climates these do best with partial shade. Sure death is to try and grow Lewisia in average border conditions. Drought tolerant once established.
