Ligularia ‘Bottle Rocket’

Ligularia

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.317.560

Sometimes called Elephant Ears, this is a bold specimen perennial that needs a moist location. This compact selection is considered an improvement over its parent, forming a dense clump of large, serrated, dark green leaves and a bouquet of mustard-yellow flowers on multiple chocolate stems, in midsummer. An outstanding performer in the border or at the waterside. An interesting centerpiece for a tub or large container. Both the flowers and leaves are great for cutting. Clumps may be divided in the spring every 3 to 4 years if desired. In warm summer regions, plan to grow this in at least afternoon shade. Slugs can be troublesome. Sport of L. ‘Little Rocket’. USPP#24486: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
