Hosta ‘Pure Heart’

Miniature Hosta

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.710.750

Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form a sturdy mound of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This cute miniature features rounded leaves with blue-green margins and creamy-yellow to creamy-white centre. Lavender flowers appear in summer. Sport of H. ‘Mighty Mouse’ with reverse variegation and the same heavy substance in the leaves. Suitable also for planting in troughs, in mixed containers or tubs. Hosta go completely dormant in the fall, and the dying foliage can be removed any time before mid spring. Easily divided in either spring or fall, but plants may be left alone for years.
