Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form sturdy mounds of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This midsized selection has thick, pointy dark-green leaves with a shiny finish. Lavender flowers appear in late July. A fast grower, forming a wide, bold mound with good substance. Clumps may be easily divided in the spring or fall. A green-leaved sport of ‘Paul Revere’ developed at Q&Z Nursery in Illinois.
