Verbascum ‘Banana Custard’

Hybrid Mullein

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.537.030

This selection of Mullein is an unusual and dramatic addition to the sunny border, acting as a biennial or short-lived perennial. Plants form a low, ground-hugging rosette of large grey-green leaves, producing upright spikes of yellow flowers in the second year. Stems are tall and excellent for cutting. Will self-sow if allowed. Seedlings are easily moved while small. Most effective when planted in groups towards the middle of the border. Also interesting in tubs or mixed containers.
