Papaver orientale ‘Harlem’

Oriental Poppy

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.401.600

Oriental Poppies give a bold display of huge, satiny flowers in late spring and early summer. This midsized selection has single deep burgundy red-purple flowers with a contrasting black centre eye. The foliage remains attractive for much longer than most older selections, and plants sometimes rebloom in the autumn. For cutting, pick flowers just as the buds begin to open. Clumps may be moved or divided in spring if desired. Part of the New Yorkers series bred by Eleanore de Koning of the Netherlands.
