Papaver orientale ‘Fancy Feathers’

Oriental Poppy

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.401.540

Oriental Poppies provide a cheerful display of huge, satiny flowers in late spring and early summer. Plants form low clumps of coarse, hairy leaves, and usually go dormant, disappearing completely by late summer. This midsized selection features soft flamingo-pink flowers with fringed edges, becoming more double in the second year. Because they disappear in summer, place something in front of Oriental Poppies that will get bushy later in the season, such as Rudbeckia, Russian Sage, or fall-flowering grasses. For cutting, pick flowers just as the buds begin to open. USPP#17348, CPBRAF: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
