Helleborus × hybridus ‘Rose Quartz’

Winter Jewels Hellebore

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.256.940

The Winter Jewels™ series of Lenten Rose are easy and colourful spring bloomers for the shade garden that have been hand-bred from only the best plants collected from around the globe. Plants produce bushy mounds of thick, leathery evergreen leaves. Flower stalks appear in early spring, bearing showy, large cup-shaped blooms. This outstanding selection is a double, picotee featuring pure white petals with rose coloured edging. Site these where they will stay for many years, since the plants resent being disturbed. Trim the old leaves to the ground in late winter before the buds emerge, to allow the flowers maximum impact. Lenten Rose was selected as the 2005 Perennial Plant of the Year. Bred and introduced by Marietta O’Byrne of Oregon. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten/Skin irritant.
