Geum ‘Sangria’

Geum

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.235.390

Also known as Avens, this offers a soft romantic look to the early summer border. Plants form a low clump of coarse green leaves, with branching stems held above bearing medium-sized rounded flowers. This selection has single to semi-double, vivid red flowers. Remove faded flowers regularly to encourage more buds. Plants may be pruned back hard after blooming, to rejuvenate the foliage. Clumps should be divided every 3 to 4 years in spring or fall. Semi-evergreen. Part of the Cocktails™ series. Bred by Brent Horvath of Intrinsic Perennial Gardens.
