Digitalis ‘Spice Island’

Hybrid Foxglove

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.190.550

An interesting hybrid Foxglove from England, this was the hit of the 2004 Chelsea Flower Show. Plants form a low mound of green foliage, bearing tall spikes that hold dangling thimbles of creamy-yellow, kissed with peachy salmon. Spikes continue from early summer into the autumn. Great for cutting. Excellent for the middle to back of a sunny border, combining particularly well with other flowers in shades of blue to purple. Probably evergreen in mild winter regions. CAUTION: Toxic if eaten. USPP#17849, CPBRAF: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
