Prairieblues False Indigo

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.095.240

(‘Solar Flare’) A recent introduction from the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Prairieblues™series, this hybrid has great potential as a specimen plant. It forms a tall, vase-shaped mound of grey-green foliage, with long spikes of yellow flowers that have a rusty– orange blush as they mature. Both colours appear on the plant at the same time making a dramatic effect. Excellent cut-flower. Attractive to butterflies. Drought tolerant. Vigorous and long-lived. Developed by Dr. Jim Ault.
