Aster × frikartii ‘Mönch’

Hybrid Aster

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.085.800

This is one of several hybrid Asters, or Michaelmas Daisies, with an extremely long season of bloom. Plants form a bushy mound of light green leaves, bearing branching stems of lavender-blue daisy flowers beginning in mid summer and lasting through the fall. Superb as container plants, or in a well-drained sunny border. Great for cutting. Excellent resistance to powdery mildew. In regions with wet soil in winter, best success will be had growing these in a raised bed with excellent drainage. This selection sometimes needs to be staked to prevent flopping over.
