Aconitum ‘Blue Sceptre’

Dwarf Monkshood

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.015.270

This compact selection of Monkshood should not require staking. Spikes of blooms appear in midsummer, the pouch-shaped white flowers edged in rich violet purple. Foliage is dark green and deeply-cut on the edges. An outstanding cut flower. Grows best in a rich, moist soil – away from thirsty tree roots. In warm regions plants will appreciate protection from hot afternoon sun. Clumps may be divided every 3-4 years, in early spring. CAUTION: toxic if eaten/harmful via skin.
