PerennialHeritage Perennial Profile

Here's the complete description for this Heritage Perennial. Drop in any time to see the rest of our collection.

 Plant Number: 1.538.050USDA Zone: 7 - 9
Verbena bonariensis
Common name :  Brazilian Verbena
Tall, upright branching stems hold clusters of magenta-purple flowers from early summer through late fall. A large grouping of this plant makes for an unforgettable display! Most effective growing in the middle of the border, with a backdrop of taller plants behind it. Although not hardy over a large area, gardeners in many regions grow this as a self-seeding annual that comes back for years. Drought tolerant once established. Excellent for cutting. Flowers are attractive to butterflies.
