What others say about this plant...
The double form, 'Splendens Plena', is a very striking front-line plant whose vivid 'shocking pink' flowers are like the pinks [Dianthus] to which it is related. Narrow green leaves in tufts. Divide and give fresh soil from time to time.; Graham Stuart Thomas, Perennial Garden Plants
