Oenothera macrocarpa ssp. fremontii ‘Shimmer’

Sundrops

USDA Zone: 4-8

Plant number: 1.400.240

This plant should be added to the list of dependable, low-maintenance perennials that give colour all summer long. Plants form a low mat of lacy, silver-blue leaves bearing bright lemon yellow, crepe paper-like blooms. Sundrops prefer hot, dry sites and will tolerate poor soils so long as drainage is adequate. ‘Shimmer’ is excellent as an edging plant, in the rock garden, or even growing in containers. Remove faded flowers to encourage repeating.
