Buddleia davidii ‘Dark Dynasty’

Butterfly Bush

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.106.700

The fragrant clusters of Butterfly Bush are irresistible to hummingbirds and butterflies. Really a shrub, plants are best treated like perennials and pruned back hard each spring, to maintain a compact, bushy habit. This selection, part of the MONARCH® Butterfly Bush collection, has incredibly long, fragrant, rich royal purple flower wands and an upright ‘gumdrop’ habit. Dense clump of grey-green leaves. Excellent for cutting. Removing faded flower heads will encourage plants to continue blooming. Drought and heat tolerant, once established. The MONARCH® trademark is owned by Walters Gardens, Inc. USPP#27834: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
