Nepeta ‘Joanna Reed’

Blue Catmint

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.375.140

The many selections of Catmint are well-known workhorses in the perennial garden, providing extended bloom as they knit and weave themselves beautifully through taller companions. This American introduction forms a medium-tall mound of grey-green leaves, bearing upright spikes of bright violet-blue flowers. Cut plants back to 6 inches in late June to rejuvenate and trigger reblooming. Discovered by gardener Joanna Reed of Longview Farms in Pennsylvania.
