Wallflowers burst into flower in late spring, with small cross-shaped blooms held in clusters on upright stems. This strain produces magenta flowers that lighten to soft mauve as they mature over lovely sage green and butter yellow variegated, robust foliage. Plants tend to act as self-seeding biennials, coming back year after year. Seedlings are easily moved in early autumn. Wonderful in the border or in meadows or other less formal areas. Delightfully fragrant and useful for cutting. Flower color tends to be more intense when grown in cooler temperatures. USPP#25749: unlicensed propagation prohibited
