Hosta ‘Humpback Whale’

Hosta

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.711.020

Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form sturdy mounds of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This giant selection is from Mildred Seaver who was known among hosta enthusiasts as the “Queen of Hostas”. It forms a massive, dome-shaped mound of blue-green, corrugated, heart-shaped leaves. Its colour is bluest in the springtime. Blue-green scapes carry near-white, bell-shaped flowers in early summer. Protect from hot afternoon sun to prevent scorching.
