Log Fern is native to the Southeastern USA, growing naturally in moist woodlands and swamps. Plants form a tall clump of arching triangular green fronds with a glossy finish. Remains semi-evergreen in mild winter regions. Clumps are well behaved and not at all invasive. Excellent as a specimen in the woodland garden. Prefers acidic soils.
