Athyrium ‘Ocean’s Fury’

Hybrid Painted Fern

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 9.015.320

An interesting hybrid fern, this forms an upright arching mound of triangular leaves with a lacy appearance and a unique grey-green colour. The tips of each leaflet are forked or crested. Excellent as a specimen, especially for contrasting with bold-leaved plants such as Hosta. Foliage is deciduous in winter: leaves should be trimmed to the ground in late fall or early spring. Plants will appreciate an evenly moist, rich soil. An organic mulch is recommended to help keep soil moist. From American breeder Thurman Maness, introduced by Terra Nova Nurseries of Oregon. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited. Registered with COPF.
