Switch Grass is one of the easiest and most attractive ornamental grasses, with no tendency to spread or become troublesome. This very tall selection forms an upright mound of blue-green leaves. Airy heads of tiny reddish-brown flowers appear in late summer. Attractive well into the winter. Flowers are good for cutting, fresh or dried. Trim back to the ground in early spring. Drought tolerant once established. Clumps may be easily divided in spring, if desired. Introduced by Bluemount Nursery in Maryland.
