Molinia caerulea ‘Variegata’

Variegated Moor Grass

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 8.280.200

Moor Grass is a useful medium-sized grass for the waterside or perennial border. This selection forms a low clump of green and creamy-white or yellow striped leaves, bearing taller arching stems of airy yellow flowers in late summer, lasting into the autumn. Attractive golden-yellow fall colour. Clumps have a distinctive fountain-like effect. Trim back in late winter. Clumps may be easily divided in early spring. Appreciates a moist site. A Heritage Perennials® Top 10 Perennial for 2006.
