Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form sturdy mounds of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This midsized selection has thick, rounded leaves of blue-green with a wide gold edge.White flowers appear in July.Good slug resistance. A sport of H. ‘August Moon’ from Bill Mitchell, discovered in 1986. Reported to have good sun tolerance. While deer enjoy eating Hosta, this variety may be slightly less palatable to deer than others.
