Echinacea purpurea ‘Summer Breeze’

Coneflower

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.650.910

Purple coneflowers are strong and bushy in habit, ideal for sunny borders and growing in mixed containers. This selection was a superb introduction featuring bright yellow, drooping petals surrounding a large, brown cone on strong stems. Flowering starts in midsummer and continues for weeks, especially if faded blooms are regularly removed. Coneflowers are sturdy and carefree perennials. Their blossoms are very attractive to butterflies. Seed heads are useful in dried arrangements. Excellent for cutting. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
