Echinacea purpurea ‘Virgin’

White Coneflower

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.650.020

A distinctive selection of our native Purple Coneflower bred in the Netherlands by plantsman Piet Oudolf. Fairly compact in habit, an ideal height for sunny borders and growing in mixed containers. The large and fragrant blooms have a row of clear white petals surrounding a large central cone of mossy green. Flowering begins in midsummer and continues for weeks if faded blooms are regularly removed. Coneflowers are sturdy and easy-care perennials that perform best in a sunny location. Flowers are very attractive to butterflies. Seed heads are useful in dried arrangements. Excellent for cutting. USPP#18684, CPBRAF: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
