Tricyrtis latifolia ‘Yellow Sunrise’

Yellow Toad-lily

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.522.260

Native to Northern Japan, this species of Toad-lily begins to flower in mid to late summer which is much earlier than most other fall-flowering selections. This forms upright stems of light-green leaves, with loose clusters of butter-yellow star flowers with delicate cinnamon-brown spots or freckles. Prefers a cool-summer climate and rich, evenly moist soil. A choice woodland plant but easy to grow. Slowly spreads to form a clump which may be divided in spring every 3 to 4 years if desired.
