Thalictrum flavum

Yellow Meadow-rue

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.513.190

Yellow Meadow-rue, also known as Common Meadow-rue, has beautiful, lacy green foliage a little like a Columbine or Maidenhair Fern in effect. The large cloud-like sprays of tiny lemon-yellow flowers are outstanding for cutting. Despite the delicate appearance, it is fairly tolerant of warm, humid summers. Plants are tall and narrow in habit, so staking may be required. Clumps may be divided in early spring, but take a year or two to settle back in and reach a mature size. Wonderful as a background plant.
