Sedum telephium ‘Munstead Dark Red’

Autumn Stonecrop

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.485.770

An older but reliable selection of upright Stonecrop, excellent for late summer and fall interest. This British selection produces branching heads of crimson-rose flowers, over a mound of succulent green leaves that are tinged red during summer. Dried seedheads have good winter interest. Sometimes floppy in moist and rich sites; pinch growth back by half in June to reduce the height if desired. Outstanding cut flower, and also attracts butterflies. Easily divided in spring.
