Salvia nipponica ‘Fuji Snow’

Variegated Japanese Sage

USDA Zone: 6-9

Plant number: 1.468.220

Originating in Japan, this perennial sage forms a low clump of arrow-head shaped green leaves, edged in snowy-white. Stalks of soft creamy-yellow flowers rise above in mid to late summer, adding to the show. This delightful selection needs protection from hot afternoon sun, and evenly moist soil. Seedlings that appear generally come true and retain the same variegation. A colourful choice for the woodland garden, and also excellent in containers. May be treated as an annual in cold winter regions.
