Primula ‘Mahogany Sunrise’

Gold-laced Primrose

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.445.560

Gold-laced Primroses have been grown in gardens for centuries, and this selection is an outstanding form. Flowers are held in large clusters, each has deep mahogany-red petals with a bright gold edge, and a golden eye. An unusual cut flower. Best to plant these where they will be seen! Primroses prefers a moist site with protection from afternoon sun and will not cope well with dry shade conditions. Consider planting alongside a stream or pond, or under the downspout. Watch for slugs.
