Potentilla thurberi ‘Monarch’s Velvet’

Red Cinquefoil

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.440.230

Totally unlike the familiar shrubby Potentilla, this is a bushy, mounding plant suited to the perennial border. Forms a clump of strawberry-like leaves, bearing upright stems of rich, raspberry-red flowers with a black centre for weeks on end. Excellent for cutting. Well suited to the border, or in mixed containers. Clumps may be easily divided in spring or early fall. Drought tolerant once established.
