Penstemon barbatus praecox nanus deep rose

Pinacolada Beard-tongue

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.405.460

This series of Beard-tongue forms low mounds of leathery green leaves, bearing short stalks of tubular flowers arranged around the stems during summer. This selection has blooms of rich rose pink. Remove faded flowers to encourage continued blooming. Attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. Stems are nice for cutting. Clumps may be easily divided in early spring. Unlike many of the taller selections, this one is ruggedly hardy in colder regions. Drought tolerant once established.
