Penstemon ‘Grape Taffy’

Hybrid Beard-tongue

USDA Zone: 7-9

Plant number: 1.405.350

Hybrid Beard-tongues are the showiest varieties by far, putting on a terrific display of colour. This selection, part of the Taffy™ series, blooms from spring through fall. Plants form a bushy upright clump, bearing several spikes of large, purple trumpet flowers featuring a contrasting white throat. Unfortunately, these are not reliably hardy and should be mulched even in mild winter areas, or treated as bedding annuals. In the deep south, plant in part shade. Excellent in pots and tubs as well as directly in the garden. Nice for cutting. Attractive to both butterflies and hummingbirds. Part of the Taffy™ Series by Terra Nova Nurseries of Oregon. USPP#22567: unlicensed propagation prohibited. Registered with COPF.
