Macleaya cordata

Plume Poppy

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.348.050

Plume Poppy is a giant background plant with handsome, deeply lobed powdery grey-green leaves, topped in summer by big cream-coloured plumes. Plants will spread fairly quickly to form a large patch, so be sure to remove unwanted shoots in the spring. May also be grown in a large tub or pot, above the ground or sunk to the rim. Foliage and flowers are splendid for cutting. Quite popular as a specimen in large borders. Clumps are easily divided in early spring or late fall.
