Lobelia speciosa Fan Scarlet

Fan Lobelia

USDA Zone: 6-9

Plant number: 1.328.280

(='Fan Scharlach') The perennial Lobelias have upright spikes of large flowers, not at all like the more familiar trailing types grown in hanging baskets. They are terrific plants for the boggy garden, adapting well to ‘wet feet', but growing equally well under average conditions. This selection has a compact, bushy habit, bearing soft scarlet-red flowers through late summer and fall, over a clump of bronzy leaves. Excellent for using as a specimen or massing in the border, containers or tubs. Nice for cutting. Attractive to both butterflies and hummingbirds. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten.
