Lobelia ‘Compliment Deep Red’

Hybrid Lobelia

USDA Zone: 6-9

Plant number: 1.328.060

(='Kompliment Tiefrot') The perennial Lobelias have upright spikes of large flowers, not at all like the more familiar trailing types grown in hanging baskets. They are terrific plants for the boggy garden, adapting well to ‘wet feet', but growing equally well under average conditions. This strain was developed as a cut flower, bearing deep scarlet-red flowers through late summer and fall, over a clump of dark-green leaves. Excellent for using as a specimen or massing in the border, containers or tubs. Nice for cutting. Attractive to both butterflies and hummingbirds. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten.
