Lilium regale

White Trumpet Lily

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.319.500

Also known as the Regal Lily, this is not often seen in gardens, and deserves to be more widely grown. Plants have immense flaring trumpet-shaped blooms with a strong, sweet fragrance. This selection features white flowers with a yellow throat, and maroon markings on the outsides of the petals. Because of their height, these need to be staked or grown up through a supporting shrub. Excellent for cutting, but be careful of the pollen, which can stain clothing and fabrics easily. Divide the clumps every 3 to 4 years in the fall.
