Kalimeris incisa ‘Blue Star’

Japanese Aster

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.298.530

Kalimeris are widely grown in Europe but hardly known here in North America. This is a long-blooming perennial of the easiest possible care. It forms a compact mound of dark-green leaves, bearing small yellow-eyed pale blue daises from mid-summer into late fall. Great towards the front of a sunny border, and especially good for large massed plantings. Attractive to butterflies. Drought tolerant once established. Clumps are easily increased by dividing in the spring.
