Geranium maculatum ‘Espresso’

Cranesbill Geranium

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.230.840

This is a medium-tall Cranesbill, forming a bushy clump of unusual coffee-brown. It is among the earliest to bloom, bearing clusters of cup-shaped flowers in a delicate soft-pink shade, which begin to appear in mid to late spring. Trim plants back immediately after blooming and they may repeat in mid summer. Suitable for the woodland or for edging in the perennial border. Easily divided in fall or early spring. This is a selection of a species native throughout eastern North America.
